Intensive French Before School (IFBS)
Intensive French Before School (IFBS) classes are an integral part of the bilingual program for Francophone stream students, and are optional for Anglophone stream students.
These classes allow teachers to work with small groups of students, for more in-depth language learning.
The IFBS classes start in Year 1 and continue through Year 6.
IFBS for Francophone stream students
Compulsory classes
Monday & Thursday morning, 8:00am - 8:45am during school term
Year 1 to Year 6 students
Compulsory classes consolidate notions in grammar, spelling, and conjugation
Enrolment & fees are included in the Francophone stream bilingual program.
Kindy student "Garderie"
A drop-in Kindy "Garderie" operated by FANS is available during IFBS, Monday and Thursday from 8:00am to 8:30am, for the Kindy sibling of older students attending IFBS. No enrolment is required for the Garderie.
There are no IFBS lessons on the first Monday of term
Accommodates teacher development days.

Wednesday morning, 8:00am - 8:45am during school term
Year 1 to Year 6 students
Reinforce and deepen student's French language knowledge
Requires additional enrolment.
Fun learning in small groups
These fun classes ensure learning takes place with fun activities, games, reading, music, and with an exercise book.
Enrolment
Annual class fees are $530 in 2026, invoiced following your regular payment schedule (annually or quarterly). Re-enrolment is required each year.
