Primary school sports coach
FANS (French-speaking Association of the North Shore) is a not-for-profit association that operates the unique bilingual program at Killarney Heights Public School, located on Sydney's North Shore.
We are looking for a French-English bilingual after-school sports coach to organise and lead 2-hour sports sessions for primary school children in a variety of activities.
Looking to start asap, in Term 1 2025.
About the Position
Role – Sports coach / Sports educator | Coach sportif / Educateur Sportif
Position type – Casual work: Monday, Tuesday Wednesday from 2:45 to 5:15pm
Where – Killarney Heights – Northern Beaches
When – From 10 February to 4th July – If visa allows, until end of school year (Dec 2025)
Responsibilities
Organise and lead 2-hour sports session for primary school children (5yo to 11yo)
Supervise and offer fun bilingual activities – groups of 15 children on average
Team sports, yoga, circus, dance, gymnastics, etc.
Assisted by a bilingual high school or uni student
Criteria
Applicants must have native-level proficiency in French
Proficient level of English to communicate instructions, rules, etc.
Sports teacher / Personal trainer background
Previous experience working in children's sports and/or holiday camps preferable
First aid preferable
Valid WWCC (Working with Children Check)
