President
President – Janos Jersch
Janos has been the FANS Vice-President since January 2018 looking after the Bilingual Program and was elected President at the 2021 AGM. He also leads a task force looking to extend bilingual education to high schools. Having experienced an international education in France, Germany, the US and the UK, Janos is a passionate believer in bilingual and multicultural education. He is a documentary producer-director and consults at leading television broadcasters. He brings his communication expertise and passion for teaching to FANS.
Vice-President
Vice-President – Clémence Duprat
Originally from Bandol (Var), Clemence first landed in Sydney in February 2008. A translator by trade, she has worked in global companies providing accessibility services. She is passionate about languages and education. She has a child at KHPS (with the second one entering kindergarten in 2022) and has experienced first-hand as a parent the work, actions and initiatives implemented by the association. She has joined the committee in 2020 as French Market Leader with the intention to lead the next edition of the market by feeding from past experiences to enhance the event, by taking into account the community’s feedback and opinions, by setting up new links and strengthening the existing ones between our pools of volunteers. Clémence was elected vice-president at the 2021 AGM.
Treasurer
Treasurer – Christine Charron-Doucet
Christine works as Finance Manager for Fighting Chance, an NFP organisation in the disability sector, and was appointed Treasurer of FANS in September 2018. With over 12 years’ experience in accounting across various industries and proud of her French-Canadian heritage, she is delighted to share her expertise and contribute to the success of FANS. She graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration in Canada, completed a Postgraduate Diploma in Accounting in France and she is a member of CPA Australia since 2015.
Secretary
Secretary – Marianne Alla
Marianne has been living in Australia on and off for 30 years, growing up in France and in Sydney. She has joined FANS committee early 2020 as its secretary. She is passionate about education, events and bilingualism. Marianne is pleased to be part of such a unique and vibrant community here in Killarney Heights Public School and beyond.
Public Officer
Public Officer – Terrence Moloney
Terrence Moloney was born and raised in Canada and used to spend school holiday breaks in the Dordogne. He currently works at Westpac in its treasury function. Prior to coming to Sydney, he worked in New York, Tokyo, London and Singapore. He has two children who were enrolled in the Killarney Heights Public School’s bilingual program, and who now participate in French classes at Killarney Heights High School and through FANS’ after school programs. He is very pleased to be involved in FANS and hopes to make the programs it offers even better for future generations.
Welcome New Families Officer
Welcome New Families Officer – Emilie Waiss
Emilie has been a FANS member for 10 years and a member of the committee since 2018. She welcomes families new to the program helping them settle with the new school life offering a wide range of advice. This has been very rewarding role and she is delighted to offer her support and knowledge to this dynamic community.
She is thrilled to see how the committee has evolved over the years and wishes to keep improving what’s on offer.
She is a sport and life coach, with an international experience.
CRM Project Officer
CRM Project Officer – Jérémy Dupuit
Jérémy has been a member of FANS since 2015 when his eldest daughter started kindergarten at KHPS. He has always kept a strong interest in the French program offered by FANS and met many of the FANS board members during FANS meetings and other social events.
Jérémy has initially offered his experience as a volunteer to help FANS modernise its IT systems. He has then formally taken the lead on the CRM Project when he joined FANS committee as one of its general members in 2020. Since, he has been working with the FANS Committee and the Admin Team to bring the new parents’ portal to life.
General Member
General Member – Coralie Andrade
Coralie arrived in Australia in 2016 from Madrid-Spain. Since then she has been involved as one of the volunteers overseeing the French Market, initially looking after logistics. She then stepped up as French Market Leader, an official role within FANS Committee. During this time, she’s also been part of the Primary School sub-committee. Her 3 children have attended KHPS.
Coralie still sits on FANS committee as a General Member.
