Four French-speaking playgroups, called "Les Bouts d'Choux", "Les P'tits Loups", "Ici on s'amuse" and "L'Arc en Ciel", offer activities for children aged 0 to 5 yrs under parental supervision one morning a week.

Children and parents from various origins meet and participate as volunteers in organisasing the sessions.

The meeting places are located in Killarney Heights, Lane Cove and Narrabeen, and are suitable for a playgroup needs. They allow children to play indoor as well as outdoor in a safe environment.

Regular activities include:

• free play: toys (with a dedicated baby corner), books, puzzles, sandpit, swings, etc.
• crafts for little hands
• storytelling in French
• Movement and music (French songs and rhymes)

They also organise outings such as:

• a visit to Taronga Zoo, Manly Aquarium, etc.
• a visit to the local fire station
• or a good picnic in a local park

L'Arc en Ciel will start on 3rd February 2010,during school terms, at the Narrabeen Tramshed, 1395 Pittwater Rd, Narrabeen, on Wednesdays from 9.30 to 11.30 am
